The Portland Hotel

The Skuba Bar, with its sun terrace and garden overlooking the sea, is perfect for socialising or a quiet drink, whilst savouring the sea views. The Skuba Grill offers its renowned menu in the bar throughout the day and in the restaurant during the evenings (Tuesday to Sunday). Breakfast is continental-style with a wide variety of cereals, cheeses, yoghurts, croissants and fruit. Being a smaller hotel, there is no dedicated reception. Guests are asked to check-in at the bar, where staff will guide you to your room, taking note of any special requirements. Please note that children and pets are not usually accepted. There is no lift at The Portland Hotel and all rooms are non-smoking. Recently refurbished to the highest standard, the Portland Hotel is located on the picturesque Folkestone Leas. It overlooks the sea and is close to the town's amenities.

From m20 leave at Junction 13, round 2 roundabouts following signs for Folkestone; after 0.6m, cross major set of traffic lights, under railway bridge and sharp bend to left, after 0.6m take turning to right signed Sandgate/Hastings. Drive to junction at end and turn left onto Sandgate Rd. At roundabout ahead take 3rd exit into Langhorne Gdns. The Portland is at the end on the left. You are advised to take any Parking Spaces available. Please check in at the Skuba Bar.

How to Book

Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. These standard double rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard. These rooms are smaller than the superior and executive rooms and are located on the third floor. The hotel does not have a lift. The sea can be seen from most rooms; however, the hotel is end-on to the sea. As such, the sea is to the south, while the rooms face east and west.

Spacious and airy. Located on the first floor with a bay window. Completely refurbished, the room has a king-size bed, two sofas, and a table and chairs. The sea can be seen from most rooms. However, the hotel is end-on to the sea and as such, the sea is to the South whilst our rooms face East & West.

Spacious and airy room on the ground floor. It is a quiet room and guests will not be disturbed by noise from either within or from outside of the building. The room has a king size bed, sofa, table and chairs.
