Haytor Hotel

Extensively refurbished in 2008, the Haytor Hotel is an elegant Victorian hotel set in its own beautifully maintained gardens. You can leave your car in the large, level car park and explore Torquay at your leisure. The hotel aims to provide clean, stylish and comfortable accommodation together with 21st century facilities, such as a multi-channel digital TV in all rooms and free broadband internet access. An ample full English breakfast or a continental option is included in the price. Please note that the normal check-in time is between 14:00 and 23:00. Please indicate when booking if you require a later check-in.

When approaching Torquay from the M5/A380, follow signs for the Seafront/Harbour. When you arrive at the seafront, turn left with the sea on your right. Drive along the seafront past the Princess Theatre. Turn left at the first roundabout and follow the road round to the right past the harbour. At the next roundabout (with the Clocktower) turn left, following the signs for Meadfoot. After 100 metres turn right at the traffic lights and follow Meadfoot Road for another 200 metres. The Haytor Hotel will be on your right. When approaching from Cornwall and Plymouth, first follow the A385 to Paignton then the A3022 to Torquay harbour before following the above instructions from the Clocktower roundabout. If you decide to take the coastal road via Teignmouth, follow the A379 towards Torquay Harbour (NOT towards the town centre) and when you pass the Bowling Alley, turn left at the next set of traffic lights. Follow Meadfoot Road (behind the former church) and the hotel will be on your right.

How to Book

Our instant, online booking service is fast, convenient and secure. We keep our availability up-to-the-minute so you can book your hotel online with complete confidence. You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

You will then need to select the dates you wish to stay for, and then go on to choose your rooms. You'll also need to provide us with your contact information and credit card details. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.

How to cancel

If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Later Cancellation: If, less than 14 days notice is given for cancellation or if you need to shorten your visit, you will have to pay a supplementary charge to Haytor Hotel, equal to the total cost of the original booking. If the room is subsequently re-let by Haytor Hotel, you will receive a refund for each night booked, less an admin fee of GBP 10. Haytor Hotel recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Stag/Hen Parties: Haytor Hotel will not take bookings from hen or stag parties - if you are reserving more than 3 rooms, please provide the hotel with further information about the nature of your group. Haytor Hotel also wishes to emphasise that it is completely non-smoking.

Between Torquay Harbour and Meadfoot Bay and beyond, a network of paths allows visitors to obtain stunning views of the rugged coastline. Most are within easy walking distance of the Haytor.

Meadfoot Bay

Framed by the Regency-style Hesketh Crescent, Meadfoot Bay and its beach are one of Torquay's best-kept secrets. Surrounded by wooded cliffs, it has a coveted Blue Flag award yet, on a hot sunny day, there is space a plenty to be found.

Living Coasts

Only opened in July 2003, Living Coasts is a unique world-class marine animal visitor attraction. The Haytor is one of the closest hotels.
