Behind its beautiful original 17th-century town-house façade, the Crown is a thoroughly 21st-century inn. Stylish and modern, the en suite rooms have been individually decorated by award-winning interior designers Bentheim of Chelsea. Each room has a plasma flat-screen TV with Sky satellite channels and a DVD player. The beds boast plump goose-down pillows, luxurious mattresses, crisp cotton bed linen and Italian lighting. The bathrooms have under-floor heating and French organic toiletries. The restaurant offers superb, award-winning cuisine, made with the finest, freshest seasonal produce available locally. The Crown is situated in the heart of Woodbridge, in East Suffolk. Directions

From London take the A12 to Ipswich where you join the A14; follow signs on A14 to rejoin A12 towards Lowestoft. Take the first signpost for Woodbridge. In Woodbridge take B1079 towards station. Hotel is on your left 200 yards from the railway station.
