By Car (from the M6): - Take exit 6 and head towards central Birmingham. - Whilst on the A38(M) turn off at the sign indicating ring road (2nd exit). - Head anticlockwise on the ring road towards Kidderminster. - Continue for 4 miles until you come to the Five Ways roundabout. - Turn right and travel along Hagley Road for one mile; the hotel is on the left. Directions from the M5: - Take either exits 2 or 3 and head towards central Birmingham. - You will end up on Hagley Road with the hotel being on the right.

"Although I appreciate that this hotel is currently being refurbished, and I was aware of this at the time of booking, we did feel rather uncomfortable about walking down corridors where wiring was hanging down from the ceiling. I also felt that the staff could have been friendlier. We did use the pool, but felt the area could have been cleaner, and once again the attitude of the staff was somewhat laid back. I question whether it would not be better to close while the refurbishment is carried out, althoug I appreciate this would mean loss of income."

The room furnishings are rather basic but the hotel does give good value for money. It is easy to find, on a main road, and has ample parking. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and the staff were friendly and polite."

"The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff were very helpful and efficient and responded quickly to any difficulties reported."

"The light did not work in the bathroom on the first night. This meant that I was unable to shower or shave after a long journey. It was fixed the next day. The next day I was able to see in the bathroom, however due to (I guess) work on the pipes the water came out very brown and unusable. This cleared eventually, but I could not use the bathroom water until the evening."
