We are located 400 yards from York's medieval walls which surround the city centre and within the Bishopthorpe Road area of York, a quiet and safe base with good local amenities for your visit including many restaurants, bars and delightful pubs.
Holmlea has double,four poster family/triple and twin rooms available, all with en-suite or private non-shared bathrooms, all of which are non-smoking. Consessions are offered for single occupancy. We also have ground floor rooms with easy access for the partially disabled.
Holmlea accommodates up to 16 guests and offers inexpensive, high quality accommodation in York. Our room and front door keys offer 24-hour access. All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also an iron and ironing board and hairdryers for guest use.

Directions
By Car; Take the York West approach into York, signposted the a1036. Take left at the first set of lights, past Tescos on the left, towards York centre. Go one mile (& past racecourse on right). Through first set of lights then right lane. Turn right into Scarcroft Road. Right again at Scott Street to Holmlea at 6 Southlands Road. Taxi; Holmlea is a short taxi ride from York rail station. Walking; Holmlea is just off Bishopthorpe Road. From the city walls walk 400 yards up Bishopthorpe Road and Southlands Road is on the right.
