From the roaring log fire set in the original freestone fireplace to the decorative stained glass window overlooking the main hall, the building retains much of its periodic charm. Each of our 11 en-suite bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and provide scenic views across the Scottish countryside.
Recently acquired by its present owners, Kirkconnel Hall is now a family owned and run business and we look forward to welcoming you.
Situated off junction 19 of the M74 on the borders of Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is only a 15 minute drive from Gretna Green; 35 minutes from Dumfries, 35 minutes from Carlisle and 1.5 hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Perfectly situated for leisure breaks, golfing, shopping, cycling and walking holidays. A very fine property with nicely decorated rooms including four-poster rooms. This is a well kept hall with plenty of character, sitting in 4.5 acres of its own grounds.

By Car:
- Take the M74 and exit at junction 19.
- At the island follow signposts for Kirkconnel Hall Hotel.
- Follow the road for approximately 400 metres / 0.25 miles.
- The hotel entrance is located on the left.
By Train (from Lockerbie Station):
This is the closest railway station to the hotel, situated just a 10 minute drive away. A taxi will cost approximately EUR 15.
Alternatively, Carlisle station is 35 minutes away, with Edinburgh and Glasgow stations a 1.5 hour drive away.

How to Book

Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.
