Hotel Description
The Lemon Tree is a comfortable, friendly, 11-bedroom hotel in Wrexham town centre. The contemporary style and authentic flavours of its Italian restaurant recreate a host of Mediterranean memories.

Carmine and Colette de Pasquale offer a wonderful blend of home-cooked Italian food, comfortable accommodation and warm hospitality. Our neo-Gothic style building on Rhosddu Road has a long history. It was designed by a local Wrexham architect, James Reynolds Gummow, built as a private residence in 1865 and named Abbotsfield. Gummow was responsible for many of the Victorian villas in the area. At some stage it became the Denbighshire and Clwyd Area Education Office. During the war years, one wing was given over to The Abbotsfield Priory War Nursery. In 1982 it opened as a hotel, retaining both the Abbotsfield Priory name and many of the features from the original building. It also had a spell as the Graffiti Italiano, before its current transformation by new owners into The Lemon Tree.

    Guest Reviews

Anna from Amsterdam Netherlands;NL gave The Lemon Tree a rating of Good

"I liked the hotel, because it was small and informal and the staff was very friendly. But the location of my room was not ideal. If I had known that this room was just above the kitchen, with its smell and all the garbage bins just under my window, I might have asked for another room when I booked."The Lemon Tree positive points

"The Lemon Tree Hotel is an intimate and friendly place. The room was nice and clean, with a bowl of fresh fruits as an extra touch of hospitality. The building has character and the staff was very helpful."

    The Lemon Tree negative points

"When I arrived there was a strong smell of food in my room, because the air conditioner of the kitchen was obviously just beneath my window."
