The Grand, as it was once known (and will soon be again), was opened as a purpose-built hotel in 1869, catering for all ladies, gentleman and royalty alike. A tradition that the hotel still continues to maintain today.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre, with easy access to all of the finest local tourist attractions. The hotel offers the 2 AA Rosette-winning Tyrells restaurant, as well as its very own underground cellar bar, Marlows, which is a great place to enjoy a drink with friends and colleagues. The hotel’s leisure complex facilities include a pool, beauty treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
From 1 May 2008, all rooms will be non-smoking.
In the heart of Bristol city centre, the hotel offers easy access to all of Bristol’s best tourist attractions, including Isambard Kingdom Brunel's SS Great Britain.
