Under the same family ownership since 1984, all rooms have recently been refurbished and most have large flat-screen TVs.
Hedley House was tastefully converted in 1984 from 2 Victorian town houses. It has its own private car park - important in York where parking is at a premium. There is a lounge bar for the exclusive use of guests, where home cooked evening meals and snacks are served.
In the summer there is a barbecue area and a 6 person outdoor aqua spa on a garden deck for your enjoyment. New conference facilities have been added and that can cater for up to 16 delegates.

By car:
From the South:
From the a1 take the a64, then the a1237 to York North. Finally take the a19 towards the city centre. Drive through Clifton: at the traffic lights you see Clifton Green on your right-hand side - continue until you go underneath a concrete footbridge. Bootham Terrace is the second turning on the right-hand side. Do not park down the side of the hotel, but come into reception and we will direct you to the car park.
From the North:
From the A1 take the A59, A1237 to York North, then the A19 to the city centre. From here follow the above directions.
From Hull:
From the A1079 take the A64, A1237 to York North, then the A19 to the city centre. From here follow above directions.
BY TRAIN:
Walking from the station (Approximately 10 minutes): Turn left out of the station and walk to the crossroads. Turn left down Leeman Road. Just before the big bridge over the road, there is an alley on your right-hand side next to a small kiosk. Follow this to the river. Go over the bridge and turn left as soon as you can. Walk along the large car park to the end. Turn left under the archway, then right up the slope. This is now Bootham Terrace. We are at number 3. There is a taxi rank outside the station - the fare to Hedley House is approximately 3.50 GBP. Good luck. See you soon!

How to Book

How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.
