All of the rooms have en suite shower rooms, hospitality trays and TVs with Freeview digital channels. This small hotel is located on a road leading from the harbour, just 300 metres from the town centre and Torquay’s beaches. The town has many bars, cafes and clubs to suit all tastes, as well as a wide variety of shops. A short walk away, you will find the South West Coast Path and several beautiful beaches. The theatre is also within easy walking distance. Many local attractions are only a few minutes away, including Torquay Museum, Living Coasts and Babbacombe Model Village. Hotel Barton is a non-smoking hotel; however, smokers are welcome to smoke on the front terrace.

By Car - On reaching Torquay, follow signs for the sea front and harbour. - Turn left at the sea, drive past the Princess Theatre, bearing left at the small roundabout. - At the next roundabout (Clocktower roundabout by Debenhams) turn left into Torwood Street, which becomes Babbacombe Road (A379) after 100 yards. - Hotel Barton is on the left-hand side opposite Torwood Gardens, around 300 yards from the harbour. Limited parking is available to the rear of the hotel (access from Museum Road). Additional parking is available in the local pay and display car park (150 m). Free passes are available for guests at weekends and throughout the summer season. There is also free on-street parking, between 16:00 and 10:00 in front of the hotel.

How to Book

You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.

How to cancel

If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.

The Model Village offers an ever changing world of miniaturisation, with models, gardens and famous landmarks in 1/12th scale. Beautiful thatched villages along with Tudor and Georgian buildings are but a small part of the offering.

Kents Cavern

One of the most important Palaeolithic caves in Northern Europe and the oldest human dwelling in Britain. Spectacular geological formations and prehistoric finds. Take a guided tour or if your brave enough a nightime ghost tour.

Paignton Zoo

Cover thousands of miles in a few hours on a world wide nature trail at Paignton Zoo. Deserts, savannah, jungle and rainforests are all recreated. Set in 75 acres a great day out for the whole family.
