Leave the m6 at junction 36 following signs for South lakes - Windermere and then Ambleside. It's approximately 18 miles to the hotel. Situated to the rear of the hotel is a private car park which offers security and peace of mind, the car park is accessed down a narrow drive to the right as you approach on the oneway system.
Please note that all direction instructions will be included in the reservation confirmation e-mail that you recieve after the booking has been completed
How to Book

How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.

Rushbearing Festival

Every year on the first Saturday in July, Ambleside celebrates its Rushbearing Festival. This custom dates back to the days when the earthen floor of the church was strewn with rushes for warmth and cleanliness.
Stock Ghyll Force
Distance from Hotel: 1km
A short walk from the centre of the village leads to Stock Ghyll Force, a spectacular 70 foot waterfall which may be viewed safely from a railed viewpoint. In spring the area under the trees is a carpet of daffodils.
St. Mary's Church
Distance from Hotel: 1km
St Mary's Church was completed in 1854, in the Early English style. It is mainly of local 'blue' stone, with a sandstone spire, an unusual feature for a Lakeland church. There is a chapel devoted to the memory of William Wordsworth.
