Turas-Mara Guesthouse

Ideal base for golfing parties with the vast variety of South Ayrshire's fine courses on our doorstep. Golf packages can be arranged and be upgraded to include transport, with airport transfers and/or packed lunches. Turas-Mara is totally Non-Smoking and has recently been tastefully refurbished. All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities with showers, tv with digital freeview, complimentary hospitality tray and many other extras to help you enjoy your stay. WiFi internet access is available. There is private parking at the rear. At the front there is a well tended garden which is overlooked by our dining room. For early departures a takeway picnic breakfast is available. It is a 5 minute walk from Ayr railway station and the town centre with its vast variety of amenities. Also within walking distance are Ayr Racecourse, Gaiety Theatre, seafront and the Scottish Bowling Centre. Turas-Mara is only 10 minutes by road from Burns Cottage, Burns Heritage Centre, Brig o'Doon and Alloway Auld Kirk.

Directions

Prestwick airport is about 10 minutes by road. Taxis are available or train to Ayr (also about 10 minutes)and it is 5 minutes walk from the station. If you are self drive - when you leave the airport turn left follow signs for Prestwick(A79). Follow the road into Ayr and then go straight at roundabouts past police station and then at next roundabout turn to right at fire station. This road takes you past the railway station keep to inside lane and follow sign at next 2 roundabouts for a713 (Castle Douglas road). This is you in Castlehill Road you will see Morrisons Supermarket. Turn into 2nd road on the left (St Andrews Street)Turas- Mara is on your right.

How to Book

Our instant, online booking service is fast, convenient and secure. We keep our availability up-to-the-minute so you can book your hotel online with complete confidence. You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

You will then need to select the dates you wish to stay for, and then go on to choose your rooms. You'll also need to provide us with your contact information and credit card details. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.

How to cancel

If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Turas-Mara Guesthouse are happy to wait up for any guests who will be arriving after 22.30. This is by prior arrangement only and must be indicated at the time of booking, giving your flight number if applicable. The guest house also provide a light supper for any guests arriving after 21:00 (at an additional cost). Please indicate at time of booking and details will be sent to you.

This spacious, beautifully decorated room has both a double bed and a single bed, with enough space to add an additional single bed (at an additional cost - see Hotel Policies for details). If you wish to add the extra bed (i.e. a 4th person), please state this request when making your reservation.
