"The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well."

"The general appearance of the hotel was run down dated and depressing. The breakfast was poor and we kept having to ask for the basics."

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely , the disappointments were there was no ironing press and you only had to move for the bed to make creaking noises."
"Breakfast was very nice and the times it was served to and from were good."

"The bed was far to noisy you only had to move to make it creak."

"No carpet in the room, filthy floor. Had to wash my feet several times. The windows didn't shut properly so it was draughty and the curtains weren't wide enough for the windows, so there were approx. 6in. gaps either side. Not enough toilet roll - had to use a public toilet on the first floor. Had to ask for extra tea and sugar sachets and extra milk cartons. Still waiting an hour later for them to arrive and had to ring down to reception, only to be asked if we could wait yet another hour until the bar opened! Very poor service. Asked a female member of staff for salt and pepper with the bar meal ... waited. Started meal before it went too cold. Asked a male member for the salt and pepper. Arrived but almost finished meal by the time it arrived. Stayed in the same hotel 3 weeks before for £45. Price had gone up an extra £15 since that stay, totalling £60. Couldn't find any reason to warrant the increase."
"No-one in neighbouring rooms. Bar food excellent tasting, although a little cool."
