Chaucer Lodge is a 30-minute drive from the Channel Tunnel rail terminal and a 15-minute drive from the Port of Dover. Canterbury bus and train stations are both within easy walking distance.
The guest house is spread over 2 floors. Bedrooms are quiet, well appointed and newly decorated. There is a minibar in all rooms, stocked with mineral water, soft drinks and snacks.

By Car
- Arriving from the west on the M2/A2, turn right at the next roundabout after the police station, into New Dover Road.
- Chaucer Lodge is located on the left-hand side about half a mile after passing The Old Gate Inn public house.

You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!
You will then need to select the dates you wish to stay for, and then go on to choose your rooms. You'll also need to provide us with your contact information and credit card details. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.
How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.
