The house was originally built in around 1827. It has been beautifully preserved and was renovated in 2008. It mixes original character and high ceilings with modern luxury. The rooms have flat-screen TVs and modern bathrooms.

By Car (from the York outer ring road):
- From the ring road, approach the city centre on the A19 from the northwest.
- On reaching the city centre, the Churchill Hotel is on the left-hand side, approximately 200 metres after passing the ornate St Peter's School on the right.
By Train:
York train station is approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) from the hotel. You can enjoy the pleasant walk over the river and by the city walls. Alternatively, taxis are readily available from just outside the station.
By Air:
Airport transfers in the hotel’s Bentley are available by prior arrangement and at an additional cost. Further details are available on request. Please contact the hotel directly for more information, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email.

How to Book

Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

How to cancel
If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.
