The Barn House is a truly unique 5 star guest house situated in the picturesque village of Walkington, close to the m62. All the rooms are hand painted in different themes from the Out of Africa room to the Eagles nest.

There are actually 2 individual houses set in beautiful gardens complete with hot tub, seating area and bbq. We pride ourselves on our friendly home from home experience. We offer bed and breakfast, private dining, exclusive use and even have our own conference facilities. The Barn House Guest House is in fact 2 separate buildings. The Barn House has a lounge, 2 dining rooms, a boardroom, breakfast room, kitchen and 4 themed bedrooms, all hand painted. The Pigeon Loft also has a lounge, kitchen, dining room and 3 bedrooms. Both buildings are situated in beautiful gardens, just off the main street in Walkington Village. There is also garden furniture all available for use by the guests. We are currently in the process of putting in a therapy room, so you will soon be able to enjoy a massage, reflexology or homeopathy during your stay with us. In addition we are also looking to developing weekend retreats that include seminars and therapies for your overall health and well-being.

Directions

By Car From the M62 (east towards Hull): - Follow the motorway all the way to the end. The road then becomes the A63. - At this point, leave the motorway and there is a large motorway sign over the carriageway, signposted North Cave. - At the end of the exit road, turn left into North Cave. Go through the village until you reach a T-junction with a local newsagent in front of you. Turn right here and follow the road out of the village. - About 2 miles out of the village you will come to another T-junction. Turn left here and then almost immediately you turn right. - Keep on this road for about 5 miles, after which you will come into Walkington Village. - As you soon as you see The Barrel pub, indicate right. The house is directly opposite the pub and the driveway is just at the side of the house. - Drive into the courtyard and park anywhere inside. There are limited parking spaces inside so you may have to park on the street or take the next left after The Barrel into All Hallows Road and park on this street instead. From York, Beverley, Hull or Lincolnshire via the Humber Bridge: - Follow the A1079, and turn into the village from the traffic lights. - Come over the traffic calmers, past the village pond on your right-hand side. - You will then see a row of detached houses and a public house called The Barrel. - Diagonally opposite the barrel is a gravel drive with some nice brick pillars at either side. Turn into this driveway and you will see the Barn House courtyard in front of you. There is also an A board sign outside. By Train: If you are coming by train, from almost all directions we recommend you leave the train at Brough, rather than going into Hull and Beverley. By Air: The nearest airport is Humberside of Doncaster. If you need picking up at the station or airport please give us a call and we would be happy to arrange a taxi for you.

How to Book

Our instant, online booking service is fast, convenient and secure. We keep our availability up-to-the-minute so you can book your hotel online with complete confidence. You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

You will then need to select the dates you wish to stay for, and then go on to choose your rooms. You'll also need to provide us with your contact information and credit card details. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.

How to cancel

If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.
