All guests are welcome to use the gorgeous residents’ reading lounge. The land on which Mansfield Castle sits dates from November 1772 and changed hands several times before it passed to George Murray, Merchant of Tain, in October 1801 and from then on became known as Mansfield. The hotel is comprised of 19 sumptuous bedrooms which have stunning views over the castle grounds, the Moray Firth to the south-east and the Dornoch Firth to the north-east.

By Car - Mansfield Castle is just one hour from Inverness on the main A9 road. - Mansfield Castle is clearly signposted. By Public Transport There are good rail links to Inverness. From Inverness Station there are taxi, coach and rail links to Tain. By Air There are direct flights from London Gatwick and Luton to Inverness. There are 2 car hire companies at the airport.

Each spacious room has either a power shower or jacuzzi and most of the rooms also have baths. These rooms are in the garden wing and are connected to the castle main building by a walkway.

Most of the standard rooms are located in the castle wing, with a couple of the standard rooms in the main castle building. Rooms in the castle wing are connected to the castle by a walkway. The rooms are decorated to a high standard. Some of the rooms have jacuzzis and some have power showers.

These spacious rooms are in the main castle building. Each large room is individually decorated with a unique interior and charm. Some rooms have jacuzzis.
