Waverley Train Station : From Waverley Station take the Waverley Bridge exit and turn Left. At the roundabout proceed straight up Cockburn Street. Check in is 65 Cockburn Street, next to the Southern Cross is the check in for the Royal Mile Residence. Airport : The Airport is 8 miles from the Royal Mile Residence and there are two options: *Take a taxi to 65 Cockburn Street to the Check in. This should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes dependent on traffic. *Take the Airport Express bus. This departs approximately every 10 minutes during peak times. Stay on the bus until it terminates on Waverley Bridge in the Centre of Edinburgh. When you get off the bus turn left and head across the road and up Cockburn Street. The check in is located at 65 Cockburn Street, next to the Southern Cross Café. From here a receptionist will then assist you to the Royal Mile Residence.

How to Book

Our instant, online booking service is fast, convenient and secure. We keep our availability up-to-the-minute so you can book your hotel online with complete confidence. You may book as many rooms as you like for any dates that you need. Once you have made your reservation, you will receive confirmation by email with our details and directions - all you need to do is turn up!

You will then need to select the dates you wish to stay for, and then go on to choose your rooms. You'll also need to provide us with your contact information and credit card details. Credit card details are required as a guarantee - your card is not charged until you finish your stay at the hotel.

How to cancel

If you need to cancel a booking please go to the cancellation page. After you have made a booking you will recieve a reservation confirmation e-mail with a link to this cancellation page. All you need to do is enter your email address - you will then be shown your current bookings. To cancel a booking follow the simple instructions. This will inform us of the cancellation, and send you a confirmation email. Please note a cancellation charge may apply, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation.

Located in the Georgian Town, the gothic tower was constructed as a monument to Edinburgh's patriotic Son Sir Walter Scott. A famous poet and storyteller. Can be climbed to get an interesting perspective on Edinburgh.

Edinburgh's Cathedral located on the Royal Mile opposite the Residence.

The official residence of any Royalty visiting the Scottish Capital. Located at the bottom end of the Royal Mile a 5 minute walk from the Royal Mile Residence.
